BIOBONDAGE© SCULPTURE

GOOD MORNING!

Taking up the drawing made on the canvas many years ago, I have to translate this great mass into volume, giving i, finesse
lightness, grace and a flight towards the light.
How do you create the illusion of the rock taking off ? It's created by a point of ink that is sufficiently well placed and calculated to hold the whole firmly in place, allowing this lie to make it real.
This floating rock is held in place by a few plant lianas. A first binding action.
It seems to float in spite of its weight. Does it indicate a direction to follow or one of the points of the compass ? Is the place where it's placed magical or magnetic ? Is it in the domain of Carnac or Stonehenge ?
Did Obelix and Asterix find it ? Does Uderzo know the answe ? (Asterix is a French BD comic book well known in Europe since 60 years ago).
This sculpture was exhibited at Chamarande, a contemporary art gallery in Essonnes/France.

In a wish and desire beyond its dimensions here (1 m), it would be a sculpture to be placed on a roundabout or in a park (ex: Les Jardins de Chaumont) with a length of 8/10 meters or more.
The structure, with its nooks and crannies and its relief, will allow nature to take possession of it afterwards.
We can imagine grass and moss partially covering the rock, creating an effect of harmony with nature, and birds landing on it to nest.
An escape from Carnac... back in the 21st century !
